The Equalizer Full Movie In Hindi Download

Show Spoiler

a5c7b9f00b Robert McCall, one of the best covert operatives in the business became disenchanted with his work in a CIA-like organization known only"the Company." Seeking redemption for some of his darker exploits, McCall resigned, and offered his services through newspaper ads to people in trouble, who were beyond the help of official channels, like the police. McCall used his skills in espionage and frequently enlisted the help of former colleagues still in the Company to get the job done. He also continued to maintain contact with his friend and former boss, a man known onlyControl.
Robert McCall is "The Equalizer", a private detective with a lot of contacts who is available for hire if you have a problem that you don't know how to solve. His no-nonsense attitude, compassion, and experience with dealing with a wide variety of situations makes him a powerful and useful detective.
'Callan' ended with the superb special 'Wet Job' in 1981. Four years later, its star, the late Edward Woodward crossed over to the U.S for this fine drama series. 'The Equalizer' had Woodwardretired intelligence agent Robert McCall who in his spare time helps out those in trouble. For many years, speculation went about that Robert McCall may have been David Callan in disguise. It was of course untrue. Though they are both interesting characters and both share the same profession, the two are poles apart.

Like I said, Robert McCall is an amateur detective who has his own column in the local newspaper. Those who find themselves in dangerous situations often call upon McCall for help. Woodward was superbthe hardnails McCall and made more of the character than was on paper. 'The Equalizer' was at best an enjoyable show, if not up to the standard of 'Callan'. Stewart Copeland's brilliant theme tune caught the style of the show wonderfully.

There were unsurprisingly a huge array of big names in the show suchJohn Goodman, Macaulay Culkin, Robert Mitchum, Telly Savalas, Ving Rhames, Tony Shaloub, Adam Ant, Meat Loaf and Ed O'Neill.

Among the best moments from what I recall of the show were McCall trying to clear his name after he was accused of murdering a blind man, McCall protecting a female police officer from her sleazy and corrupt colleagues, McCall being held hostage at a wedding ceremony and McCall facing off a criminal drugs gang who try to intimidate the new town doctor into giving them free drugs.

Four seasons were made after which CBS drew it to a close in 1989. Not an excellent show, at least not in my personal view, but far better than many American drama shows that have been on offer either before or since.
"The Equalizer" was a unique and amazing series. I followed each episode with great interest. The ensemble of talent was remarkable - Edward Woodward having started outa Shakespearean actor.

Hostile comments against this brilliant series derive largely from an inability to understand what McCall represented and who he was. A veteran of the British Army, he served in the Suez conflict and - while in the SAS - in operations in Malaya against Maoist gunmen. On leaving the British service he was recruited by the CIA who had apparently heard of his SAS exploits and talent in intelligence gathering. As his mother was an American, he could qualifya US citizen - combine that with his last name, and he hardly qualifiesan Englishman. In the CIA he worked in Vietnam, where he met many of his later New York allies.

The character of Robert McCall may be in his early-mid fifties, but has a background of training and experience which would humble any supposedly tough petty-thug. For better organised enemies, McCall has a loyal following of friends to call on, including a selection of law enforcement personnel and ex-Special Forces men.

Therefore, he is not the tea-sipping greying middle-aged gentleman he may appear to be at first.

I adored this show. It requires a certain depth of historical knowledge to fully understand.

No, although they both served in the Malayan War. Callan was a working class former National Serviceman (a British conscripted soldier between 1945-1960) and karate expert who was blackmailed into working for the British intelligence services after being caught robbing banks. McCall was the upper class Anglo-American son of a British Intelligence officer and his American wife who worked for American Intelligence. Robert McCall was the son of a distinguished British Army officer and an American showgirl whom he was ostracized by his family after marrying. His father would later be murdered by a colleague during the Suez campaign whilst Robert McCall was at boarding school, McCall holding a lifelong resentment against his father for their detached relationship. McCall would later join The Agency/Company, a branch of American intelligence which operated both at home and abroad serving in the Malayan War, Vietnam War and the Angolan conflictwellother Cold War battlegrounds. He is deeply disturbed by his past deeds especially collaborating with Apartheid South Africa and helping to install dictatorships in South and Central America in the fight against communism. He was briefly married and fathered a son, Scott and we later learn he also had an illegitimate daughter with a past lover. In 1985 he became disilluisioned with his profession and left to become a freelance troubleshooter/vigilante.
